The Ivy Gate Riding Academy is the point of entry for new students. Our lesson program is designed to allow all riders to progress at their own pace.

Each student will gain a solid foundation in horsemanship and the skills needed to provide loving care for their equine partners.

Our riding academy provides an opportunity for students to ride trusted school horses that will help them advance and gain confidence in their riding skills.

Lesson Rates/Packages

• Membership fee to join is $50
• Evaluation ride is complimentary with membership fee
• Beginner lessons are $275 for 4 private lessons
• Monthly rates (intermediate/advanced group lessons)
  • 1 time per week: $225
  • 2 times per week: $450
• Private intermediate/advanced lessons $85 each

*All lessons are one (1) hour; includes tacking up.
*Monthly rates are based on an average of 4 lessons per month NO extra charge for months with 5 weeks.

Riding Academy Policies

All riders must be tested in order to be accepted into group jumping lessons.

Lessons are 45 min. riding and 15 min. tacking up.

Riders must learn to groom and tack up their lesson horse as part of the one-hour lesson time.

**Cancellations - We require 24 hour notice in the event that you need to cancel a scheduled lesson. No-shows and/or late cancellations will be charged the full lesson amount.

We offer a beginner summer camp from and an intermediate camp. Spots fill up fast, so be sure to get your application in as soon as possible!

Our Summer Camps are a great opportunity to develop horsemanship skills, learn proper horse care, and learn to ride!
